Why wall thickness matters

  • Too thin: short shots, weld lines, weak parts.
  • Too thick: sink marks, voids, long cycle, warp.
  • Keep walls uniform — transitions gradual, max 1:3 ratio.

Other DFM rules

  • Rib thickness: 0.5–0.6× nominal wall.
  • Boss outer diameter: 2–2.5× screw shank.
  • Draft angle: 1° minimum, 2° preferred.
